SIS Celebrates 10 Year Milestone With Staff Increase In Anticipation Of Programming Growth
[Seattle, WA] Sports in Schools, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of students in need through sports in schools will celebrate it’s 10th year anniversary in 2019. Programming has steadily increased over the years and the organization has taken an important step and has hired our first Program Director who will work closely with the Executive Director, Kyleen Niccolls, and the current Board of Directors.
Our new Program Director, Christina Broadwin, brings over 15+ years of experience working and volunteering in various capacities with corporations, non-profits and other community organizations. Ms. Broadwin holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Finance from Butler University. She is very community oriented and most enjoys activities where she can make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth. Christina will be overseeing the planning, implementation and evaluation of all of the Sports in Schools programming while helping to develop a growth strategy and forge additional partnerships to positively impact more youth throughout Washington. Christina states that “For many in-need students their participation in sports is a literal lifeline, providing both an outlet as well as opportunity for them to be part of a team, learn life skills and live a healthier life style. I am proud to be a part of the Sports in Schools team and hope that we can increase the number of student athletes we impact and open up horizons for them that would otherwise not exist. “
Kyleen Niccolls the current Executive Director states that “Sports in Schools is ready to launch into a new phase of growth and having Christina on our team will allow us to expand our reach and have an even bigger impact on the students in need in our community”.
